Welcome to Ball for Life! Founded in 2019 by Coach George, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive community that embraces the love of basketball among individuals of all races, ages, and skill levels. Our events have welcomed teams from all over the world, fostering a diverse environment where players can thrive.

About Us

Throughout the year, we organise a variety of competitions, including 5v5, 3v3, 1v1, dunk contests, and more, all designed to showcase UK talent and provide unforgettable experiences.

Most of our tournaments offer cash prizes for teams and standout players, adding an extra layer of excitement and motivation. Participants also gain invaluable networking opportunities, as our events attract scouts looking for talent. In the past, players have earned scholarships to pursue high-level basketball in countries like the U.S., Greece, Italy, and Spain. Other players have gone on to become models for top sports brands through our platform. Demonstrating the significant influence our events have in the basketball community.

Founder's Bio

Hello! I'm Coach George, and I’ve been passionate about basketball for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Greece, I had the privilege of playing for local and national teams, including the renowned Panathinaikos. My journey then took me to London, where I continued my basketball career at the university level, deepening my understanding and love for the game.

  • In 2019, during a conversation with friends, we noticed that there weren’t many basketball tournaments in the UK, especially in London. Given my background and influence in the sport and community, it made perfect sense for me to take the initiative. That’s how “Ball for Life” was born. I set out to organise tournaments that would provide players with the opportunity to compete, connect, and grow within the basketball community.

  • Since then, Ball for Life has become a thriving platform for basketball enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. I’m committed to fostering a vibrant basketball culture and helping young and old athletes develop their skills and passion for the game. I look forward to seeing you on the court!

Tournament Rules

I acknowledge that participating in the tournament carries inherent risks, and injuries may occur despite precautions.

To enhance safety, I agree to follow these rules:

- Warm up and stretch before physical activity.
- No horseplay or fighting at the event.
- Keep personal items and valuables secure or with trusted friends.

Disqualification: Teams or players may be disqualified from the tournament for the following reasons:
- Violating tournament rules.
- Engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct or fighting.
- Failing to adhere to safety protocols.
- Playing for more than one team on tournament day.

I understand that if I sign up for a team, I cannot play for another team on the day of the tournament, or both I and my team may be disqualified.

I have read and understood these rules.

Waiver Form

All team captains and players must sign this waiver to participate in the Summer Slam Basketball Tournament organized by Ball for Life.

By submitting this form, I agree to the following:

1. Team Captain Responsibilities: If I’m registering as a team captain, I confirm that I have shared the rules and waiver with my team and ensured their agreement before listing their names.

2. Scheduling and Cancellations: I understand that Ball for Life may change the schedule, date, location, or cancel games due to weather without offering refunds.

3. Injury Liability: I acknowledge that Ball for Life is not liable for any injuries that may occur during the tournament.

4. Media Consent: I consent to the use of photos and videos taken during the tournament for promotional purposes.

5. Age Requirement: I confirm that I am over 18 or have obtained consent from my parent or guardian to participate.

6. No Refund Policy: I understand and accept the strict no refund policy for the tournament.

7. Release of Liability: I agree to release and hold harmless Ball for Life and all associated parties from any injuries or losses incurred during the event.

I have had the chance to ask questions, and they have been answered to my satisfaction.

What is the date of the tournament?

The tournament will be held on August 9th.

When will the game schedule be released?

The game schedule will be released one week before the tournament.

How do I edit my team information?

Are international teams allowed to participate?

Yes, international teams are welcome to attend. However, please note that travel and other associated expenses are at your own risk. Ball for Life is primarily an outdoor event, but we may occasionally host indoor events. We accept no responsibility for teams that travel if the tournament is canceled.

What is the refund policy?

Once payment is completed, there is a strict no-refund policy.

What is the minimum number of players required per team?

Each team must have a minimum of 5 players to participate.

Do teams need to check in?

Yes, all teams must check in at registration and review the game schedule before the tournament day.

Is there an entry fee for spectators?

No, Spectators can attend the event for Free.

How do I volunteer for the tournament?

To volunteer, please email us on ballforlifeinfo@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp. Please note that there are limited spots available, and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
